How to Send Money with the New Ria Money Transfer App: A Step-By-Step Guide

We know how important it is for you to reach your loved ones, so we’ve made sure to make the process of sending money as easy as possible. The Ria Money Transfer app’s latest update brings with it many exciting features to help you get the most out of your money transfer experience, whether you’re new to sending money or have been relying on the service for years.

Below, you’ll find a Step-By-Step Guide to help you get started with our app. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, you can visit the Google Play Store or the Apple Store to create your free account. 

Step 1: Check Prices

 Once you’re logged in, get started by selecting the orange Send button at the bottom of the screen. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to check the rate first! 

Select a destination and amount to be sent. Once these are defined, you’ll be able to choose between cash pickup, bank deposit, or home delivery depending on the options available in the receiving country. Your order can be paid through a bank account, by debit or credit card, or in cash at a Ria location. Review the final rate and select Continue. 

Step 2: Recipient Information 

To keep your money safe, it can only be collected by your recipient. For this reason, we’ll need some information to help us verify their identity at pick-up. We only ask for a few details: legal name, phone number, email, and the city and state they live in. Triple check the name appears exactly as it does on their government ID to ensure the order can be collected.

STEP 3: How They Receive the Money 

Let’s make sure we’re sending the money to the nearest location or through the most convenient method. Your recipient will thank you!

If you chose pick-up, select a location from the list provided or from the Locations dropdown. If you chose bank deposit, enter their bank name, account number, account type and the city it’s located in.  

STEP 4: Payment Information 

If you chose to pay by bank, credit, or debit card, you’ll be asked to provide the payment information. If you preferred paying in cash, a barcode will be sent to your email, which you can present at any 7-11 PayNearMe within 24 hours to complete your transfer.  

STEP 5: Review Order Details 

Lastly, review the order details and edit if necessary. Otherwise, confirm the transfer, and your money will be on its way.
